Lex grew up in Levelland, TX and graduated in 1998. He attended South Plains college in 1999 and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2002 with a B.A. in Biology. He then attended and graduated from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas with a Masters degree of Physical Therapy in 2004. After working in the orthopedic setting for two years, Lex was not satisfied with the outcomes from standard P.T. and elected to specialize in orthopedics and manual therapy by enrolling at The Manual Therapy Institute in Austin, TX. He underwent a 2.5 year residency and subsequent Fellowship program at Sports Performance International in Austin. He was awarded Fellowship status in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2008. Lex has also taken specialized training in the correction of fascial dysfunctions which can quickly eliminate pain and restore function for sprains and strains.
After completion of the Fellowship program, Lex moved to Lubbock to join Physical Therapy Associates. Since then, he has developed relationships with many local Physicians and is a preferred treatment provider for many of their patients. Although he lives in Lubbock, he is a Longhorn by heart and consistently must remind people that Texas Tech is his second favorite team and always roots for them…except when they play Texas. Lex is a member of The American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.
Lex is married to Chelsey and they have a daughter and a son, Callie Grace and Caden Luke. Lex enjoys exercise, kettlebell training, snow skiing, and golf.
